Governor's Office reports second case of COVID-19

CARSON CITY — A member of Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak’s staff in the Capitol Office in Carson City tested positive result for COVID-19 after developing symptoms over the weekend. The staff member was last in the office on Thursday, October 29, 2020, but was not symptomatic. 

The first case reported by the office was a positive test for the state’s COVID-19 response coordinator, Caleb Cage.

The Governor took a scheduled COVID-19 test last week and tested negative. He took another test today and received another negative result. 

All staff who worked out of the Capitol Office last week are working from home. 

The Governor said his office has followed all public health and safety protocols. The office undergoes regular cleaning and an additional deep cleaning of the Governor’s Office and common areas, including Capitol restrooms, was conducted today.
