CARSON CITY–The Nevada Day Parade was back to its usual format this year after modifying operations in 2020 due to the pandemic. Based on the turnout Saturday in Carson City, Nevadans were happy to have their annual celebration back.

Festivities included a hot air balloon launch; a parade with appearances by community groups, marching bands and politicians; and the 48th Annual World Championship Single Jack Drilling Contest; plus a 5K, pancake breakfast, beard contest, chili feed, prison tours–it was a busy day in Carson City.
